MAINTENANCE GUIDE
Maintenance & stain removal tips
At Rodier, we love beautiful pieces that last. And for that, there is nothing like simple and natural gestures, to be applied as soon as necessary.
1. Protect clothes from moths
Moths hate natural odors. Slip sachets of lavender, dried mint or cedar wood chips into your cupboards. It's effective, natural and much more pleasant than mothballs!
2. Avoid shedding from an angora sweater
To fix the fibers, lightly spray hairspray 30 cm from the sweater. Then, place it in the refrigerator for 24 hours in a plastic bag. Result: less hair on your clothes… and your seats!
3. Fight against static electricity
A simple gesture: apply a little moisturizing milk to your tights. This reduces friction with a silk dress, for example, and limits static electricity.
4. Express stain removal: our solutions by type of task
- Lipstick / Foundation / Mascara: Dab the stain with a cotton pad soaked in colorless makeup remover milk. If there is any residue, rub gently with Marseille soap before washing.
- Red wine: Boil some milk, then soak the stained area. The wine will be absorbed (the milk will turn pink). Rinse, then wash.
- Blood : Immediately immerse the stain in cold water. If necessary, dab with a cloth soaked in saline, then wash.
- Ink : Soak the area in milk. If necessary, apply a little lemon juice with a cotton pad, then absorb with paper towels. Then wash as normal.
- Fat : Sprinkle generously with Sommières soil. Leave it on for a few hours without rubbing, scrape off the excess, then wash. Also ideal for leather.

- Act quickly on a stain, before it sets in.
- Always dab (never rub), so as not to spread the stain.
- Test each product on a hidden area.
